Batik Fat Quarters

What do you do with 30 fat quarters of batik fabric - that you really really love but don't know what to make with it and you don't really want to cut the beautiful pieces up - make a big block quilt - that's what.

So when I found this lovely pattern of 14 inch blocks - I made myself a quilt - in a day - pieced, quilted and bound! - Okay I finished it at 11.30 at night.

The pattern is from Happy Hour by Atkinson Designs - this little book has so many ideas in it - with the 30 fat 1/4's I made this quilt but have enough pieces left over to make another quilt - that I just have to add sashings to. Very clever really.

The back fabric is lovely and soft to touch - it is Kool Kats by Fabri-Quilt - I just love it. This is definately my quilt!
