On Saturday I went to the George Town Friendship Day run by the Wilted Quilters - what a huge turn out! I was amazed at the amount of people there - about 120? There was "Show & Tell", lucky door prizes, rolling raffle with heaps of prizes and all in all a good day. The lady who won my $50 voucher for quilting was thrilled and said she is starting a new quilt soon ....
The lovely ladies from The Quilted Crow (from Hobart) were there selling their wares - wow - some really nice fabrics - they specialise in reproduction fabrics - 1930's, Civil War etc. I purchased a lovely cushion kit and can't wait to make it up.
The George Town quilt group have been busy making three lovely quilts that depict their area - I especially liked the Low Head quilt - recognizable instantly (if you have been there - lol!)
It was nice to catch up with the ladies from Tatana group who meet on Mondays at Tresca - I have been to a couple of their quilt days and they are a great friendly group.
A very enjoyable day was had by all I believe....and I rememberd to vote for the local legislative council seat in my area.
Pity I didn't take any photographs.
