Last week we were at the beach for a wonderful break during the school holidays - as usual we took our little lovlies and they had a great time being on their harnesses. Merlin took to sitting on the post anytime we took him out. Jet was a bit more safety conscious - preferring to stay in and around the caravan annex - little chicken!
Here are a couple of Journal covers that I have made - I beaded the one on the right during last week - I put some real freshwater pearls on it and think it looks great.
And here is another Dear Jane block- I have done more - just haven't got the pictures....still plugging along with it slowly.

More Quilting
Here is some of the quilting I have done in the past few months ...
this quilt was made in 1997 I think -blocks made by different people - so it is a friendship quilt. I was asked to quilt it - however I liked. I think the end result is great - simple quilting but the look is quite effective - I love the back on this one too!
This is a close up of the front
And a view of the whole front.
this next quilt I am only showing the back - to show the quilting - customer was very happy too!
This next quilt was done for a wife's friend of my husband's in Ballarat ... again just asked to quilt but not sure what ... I felt a bit of freedom here as it was a free quilt job! I had fun quilting it.
This next quilt - I was asked to make a blue and yellow lap quilt - made in a very very busy hectic day - the recipient was apparently over the moon! This makes the effort well worthwhile.
If you want a quilt quilted by me - just go to my web site and follow the contact details. Postage anywhere in Australia is usually only about $15.00 registered.

Football quilts
This quilt was pieced and appliqued by Melissa J in Melbourne - she has done a fantastic job as she hasn't made many quilts. I loved quilting this quilt - and have used a simple pantograph but changed colours for the yellow sashing and modified the panto to sit nice around the tiger's head. I did this a few weeks ago now and still think it is a wonderful concept - gave me the idea to to the blue Carlton quilt from my last post.

A Quilt Gift
This quilt began life as a dooner cover - I used the front and back fabrics to make a quilt for my brother in law who sadly believes the Carlton Football Club will one day win another final! LOL - as you can tell I don't follow the football.
I quilted this with a simple angular freehand design of my own. The quilt looks fantastic and Merlin thinks so too!
