Silent Heritage



This is my quilt "Silent Heritage" . I made it after getting a fat quarter pack of Aboriginal fabrics from Frangipani Fabrics. I designed this quilt and it is heavily beaded in the center. My statement when I entered this into the Island Threads Quilt Spectacular 2007 in Tasmania was:


As Australians we are all affected by Aboriginal heritage to some degree. The sun represented on the Aboringinal flag is the same sun we all live under. I wanted to convey this in my quilt for indigenous and non-indigenous alike.


The back is pretty too....
