Busy days ....and more quilting

This is the bundle of silk fabrics and threads that Jan from Wafu Works in Kingston (Tas) sent to me. She donated the prize for my Highly Commended win for my "Coloured Geese" miniature quilt - I thought I might use these for my dolls ...but the fabric is beautiful and I may just make a silk miniature quilt...Thanks Jan!

And this is the little vintage Singer 221-1 Featherweight that has come to live with me - it was born on the 26 October 1950 at Elizabethport, Elizabeth, New Jersey USA. She is a Centenial model and has the little 1951 badge to prove it ....the case is one of the rarer ones with the handle having grooves on it ... but unfortunately is missing one latch - so I have to find another latch somewhere. DH James has given her a good clean and service and she is purring along nicely - the stitch is wonderful and I plan to use her when doing classes.

If you remember the huge "Red Herring" thousand pyramid quilt I made last year - well I have gotten around to making another with the left over pyramid's....this one I think I will call "More Than Half"..because it has just over 500 pyramids but not a thousand. I am pretty happy with this one - it actually fits on the caravan bed (the other one was too big and now lives on my bed at home)

I do love the scrappy look of these quilts.

The back fabric is the same as I used for the border and binding - I love paisley.

these are little table runners that I have made with the new Moda fabrics - when I finally quilt these ... and will be finding new homes with the people we stayed with while on our holidays in May - I hope they will like them as much as I do.

So that is all my news for now - I have been making some quilts of my own and spending time at the longarm quilting my own stuff which has been nice.

Do you remember the name of the coffee fabric line? I am looking for some for a wedding gift for a couple who met in a coffee shop.

I love you quilting and your web site by the way! Thanks for sharing.
